We are seeking an experienced Senior IT Infrastructure Engineer to take full responsibility for the design, governance, security, and continuous improvement of the organisation’s enterprise IT infrastructure and network environment across multiple business units.


This is a hands-on technical role focused on design, architecture, security, optimisation, and project delivery — not first-line support. You will act as the primary technical authority for our infrastructure landscape while working alongside our managed services provider, who handles day-to-day support operations.


The role offers the opportunity to influence technology strategy, lead initiatives, and ensure that systems remain secure, scalable, and aligned with business objectives.


Key Responsibilities



  • Own and manage the company’s end-to-end IT infrastructure and network architecture

  • Design, implement, and maintain secure, scalable, and resilient environments

  • Lead infrastructure and digital transformation projects

  • Act as 2nd/3rd line escalation for infrastructure issues

  • Manage firewalls, routing, switching, LAN/WAN, Wi-Fi, VPNs, and security policies

  • Administer servers, virtualization platforms, storage, backups, and disaster recovery

  • Manage hybrid environments across on-premises and Microsoft Azure

  • Oversee identity and device management solutions (e.g., Intune, Entra ID/Azure AD)

  • Lead Microsoft 365 initiatives including SharePoint and collaboration platforms

  • Work closely with external managed service providers and vendors

  • Define standards, documentation, and best practices

  • Continuously improve performance, reliability, and security posture


Required Experience & Skills



  • 3+ years in senior infrastructure/network engineering or similar role

  • Strong hands-on networking expertise (firewalls, VLANs, routing, switching, Wi-Fi, WAN)

  • Experience with enterprise firewalls and security best practices

  • Solid Windows Server administration and virtualization (VMware/Hyper-V)

  • Experience with Microsoft Azure and hybrid cloud deployments

  • Microsoft 365 administration (Intune, SharePoint, Entra, etc.)

  • Backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity planning

  • Strong troubleshooting and root-cause analysis skills

  • Ability to lead projects independently from design to delivery


Nice to Have



  • Certifications (Microsoft, Cisco, Fortinet, VMware, etc.)

  • Experience in multi-site or hospitality environments

  • Infrastructure automation or scripting (PowerShell, etc.)

  • Knowledge of cybersecurity frameworks
