Four Seasons Astir Palace Hotel Athens opened in March 2019 and provides a preferred address for both business and leisure travelers, and the highly personalized, anticipatory service that Four Seasons guests expect and value around the world. The Arion Hotel was built in 1967 and has 106 keys and 61 Bungalows, and the Nafsika opened in 1980 and has 136 keys. Under the same ownership is a large private beach club and marina. Nafsika is open through the year, while Arion and the bungalows operate eight months of the year. Adding to the complement of on-site F&B operations (8 Restaurants and Bars), there are also two third party restaurants on site.

About the Role

At Four Seasons Astir Palace Hotel Athens, we are committed to delivering exceptional dining experiences through outstanding culinary offerings and impeccable service. We are currently looking for a motivated and experienced Food & Beverage Director to join our Executive Team. This senior leadership role is vital to the success of the Food & Beverage Division and plays an important role in shaping the hotel’s strategy, innovation, and excellence in guest service.

As Food & Beverage Director, you will oversee all F&B outlets, culinary, and stewarding operations, leading a talented team to ensure outstanding quality, innovation, and service standards that reflect the Four Seasons brand. Your leadership will influence guest satisfaction, team development, operational efficiency, and overall financial performance.

What You Will Do

  • Strategically manage all Food & Beverage outlets including Taverna 37, Pelagos, Helios, Mercato, Aristotle’s, Kyma, Avra, In Room Dining, and Banqueting.

  • Oversee culinary and stewarding operations to maintain the highest standards.

  • Promote product innovation and service excellence across all outlets.

  • Develop team capabilities through recruitment, training, career and succession planning.

  • Manage daily operations including capacity planning, scheduling, and performance management.

  • Collaborate with Sales & Marketing and senior management to deploy effective PR, sales, and marketing strategies.

  • Be accountable for sales revenue and daily P&L across all F&B operations.

  • Monitor and align business plans and guest trends with the F&B product and service offer.

  • Design and implement operational tools, manuals, and guidelines to ensure compliance and excellence.

  • Maintain quality standards and compliance with legislation.

  • Implement and optimize IT systems supporting F&B operations such as inventory and billing.

  • Foster cooperation with brand partners and internal/external stakeholders.

  • Lead employee development and maintain a positive work culture.

  • Engage with guests to build strong relationships and enhance their experience.

  • Design innovative menus and beverage selections ensuring excellent quality and value.

  • Represent the hotel’s F&B division at industry events and conferences.

What You Bring

  • Proven leadership experience in Food & Beverage management within a luxury hotel or resort.

  • Strong strategic thinking and operational expertise.

  • Ability to inspire and develop diverse teams.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Business acumen with experience managing budgets and P&L.

  • Deep understanding of food and beverage trends, guest expectations, and service excellence.

  • Proficiency in relevant IT systems and software.

The hotel offers 303 accommodations, including 200 guest rooms and 42 suites in two main buildings (Arion and Nafsika), plus 61 bungalows set among the trees on the water’s edge. The hotel also features a Spa inspired by the ancient teachings of Hippocrates with 10 treatment rooms including two couples' suites, fitness and recreation facilities and eight dynamic restaurants, lounges and bars – from "Pelagos" a modern Mediterranean seafood restaurant and "Mercato" an all-day Italian trattoria to "Taverna 37" a beach side Greek taverna.
