Leisure Centre Attendant

Are you looking for a fantastic summer experience on the water? As a lifeguard or summer camp counsellor at summer camp, you will be working at the pool and/or lake to ensure campers and staff are safe as they enjoy the camp waterfront. Often, lifeguards also live as counsellors in bunks with campers.

A responsible, enthusiastic, and energetic person who wants to spend their summer acting as a mentor and role model for kids while ensuring safety at all times is what summer camps are looking for.

You will work, play, and live in a structured outdoor environment as a summer camp lifeguard or waterfront specialist, emphasizing a sense of fun, family, friendship, and belonging.

Who we are looking for?

A full-time seasonal Lifeguard - Leisure Centre Attendant to join our well-established summer camp. The successful candidate will report to the Supervising Manager. Training is provided for the right candidate to obtain this qualification. The Lifeguard is responsible for monitoring, cleaning, and protecting the pool and surrounding areas.

What you'll do:

• Ensure camper safety in and out of the water at all times
• Participation in Staff Orientation and training before camp begins
• Assist with setting up and closing of aquatics facilities
• Assist with the routine maintenance of aquatics facilities
• Supervise the swimming pool area
• Meet the highest standard of safety
• Maintain a high standard of customer service
• Maintain high standards of supervision while performing lifeguard duties as required by the Pool Supervisor.

• The successful candidate must be:
• Be physically fit
• Be fluent in the English language.
• Have previous experience working as a Lifeguard or pool attendant
• Flexible regarding availability; the ability to work midweek and weekends is required.
