• HMI Hotel Group, Tokyo, Japan is looking for Hotel General Manager.
• HMI Hotel Group is scheduled to rebrand 10 Large Hotels for a Grand Opening in 2025-26.

We are seeking a dynamic and strategic individual to join our team as a Hotel General Manager.

As the Hotel General Manager, you will function as the primary strategic business leader with responsibility for all aspects of operation, including guest satisfaction, human resources, financial performance, sales and revenue generation and delivering a return on investment.

Your role will include implementation of the brand service strategy and brand initiatives with the objective of meeting or exceeding guest expectations, increasing profit and market share and ensuring strategy execution by the Hotel Team and guiding their individual professional development.

The position ensures all sales engines are leveraged and initiate independent and proactive sales activities to generate demand. You will proactively communicate, set and manage expectations and deliver solid business results. The position is actively involved in the local community and build strong relationships with local officials, businesses, and customers.

Key Tasks:

Strategic Leadersip: Business strategy development and strategy execution.

Sales & Marketing: Actively pursue sales growth along with team, develop tailored approach, identyify new business leads, leverage sales engines to optimize results and drive demand.

Talent Management: Create a cohesive and higher performance executive committee and leadership team that strives for positive results and improvement.

Business Acumen: Review market share, financial performance, employee engagement and customer satisfaction to elevate overall performance.

Guest Satisfaction: Interact with guest frequently, obtain feedback, implement innovative ways to exceed guest expectations, driving positive top line.

Standards: Ensure hotel compliance to safety, legal, operations, labour and brand standards are maintained with routine audits and checks.

  • 15 Million Yen to 28 Million Yen per Annum
  • Benefits:  Gross remuneration range between 15 Million YEN to 28 Million YEN /per annum  Medical coverage & accident insurance  Staff rates at eligible hotels  Local transport allowance  Paid round trip flight to home country once in two years  Benefits are subject to terms and conditions

About you

Education and Experience:
 Bachelors degree from an accredited university in Business Administration, Hotel Management or related major; 10 years experience in a management role overseeing operations, sales and marketing, finance and accounting and/or related professional area; including 5+ years as General Manager with a global hotel brand

Preferred:
 General Manager experience in full-service property, global brand
 Pre-opening and / or conversion experience
 Japan Work Experience an added advantage
