Are you passionate about developing people and creating meaningful learning experiences? We are looking for a Learning & Development Specialist to support the delivery of our L&D strategy and help colleagues develop the knowledge, skills, and confidence they need to succeed. Working closely with departmental leaders and the wider HR team, you will coordinate learning initiatives, support training delivery, monitor development activities, and contribute to a culture of continuous learning and growth.

Responsibilities:

  • Learning & Development Strategy: Support the implementation of the L&D strategy in alignment with business priorities, brand standards, and employee development needs.
  • Training Needs Analysis: Work closely with departmental leaders to identify learning and development needs and recommend appropriate training solutions.
  • Training Coordination: Coordinate internal and external training programmes, ensuring sessions are effectively planned, communicated, delivered, and recorded.
  • Learning Methodologies: Support the use of a variety of learning approaches, including classroom training, e-learning, micro-learning, on-the-job learning, and blended learning.
  • Learning Systems: Maintain and support the internal learning management system, ensuring training information, courses, and completion records remain accurate and up to date.
  • Training Delivery: Facilitate and deliver training sessions as required, including induction, service standards, soft skills, compliance, and other development programmes.
  • Onboarding & Induction: Support departmental leaders with the planning and delivery of new hire onboarding and induction programmes, ensuring colleagues receive a consistent introduction to the organisation.
  • Employee Development: Support the development of colleagues at all levels through learning initiatives, career development activities, and continuous improvement programmes.
  • Leadership Development: Coordinate and support learning initiatives designed to develop supervisors, managers, and future leaders.
  • Training Compliance: Monitor online, internal, and external training completion and follow up with departments where required to ensure compliance with mandatory learning requirements.
  • Training Effectiveness: Collect feedback and monitor learning outcomes to evaluate the effectiveness of training programmes and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • L&D Reporting: Maintain accurate training records and prepare regular reports and metrics on training participation, completion, and development activities.
  • Engagement: Support the employee engagement calendar and contribute to initiatives that strengthen colleague engagement, recognition, wellbeing, and development.
  • Audits & Compliance: Assist with internal audits and ensure learning and development documentation meets organisational and brand requirements.
  • External Partnerships: Build relationships with external training providers, educational institutions, and other learning partners to support the organisation's development needs.

Skills and Experience:

  • Proven experience in learning and development, training, HR, or a related field.
  • Experience in hospitality or another customer-focused environment will be an advantage.
  • Strong organisational and administrative skills, with the ability to coordinate multiple learning activities simultaneously.
  • Confident communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage colleagues at different levels.
  • A passion for employee development and creating positive learning experiences.
  • Ability to identify learning needs and translate them into practical development solutions.
  • Comfortable using learning systems, HR systems, and digital learning platforms.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate training records and documentation.
  • A proactive and collaborative approach, with the ability to work effectively with managers, employees, and external partners.
  • A passion for keeping up with emerging learning trends and introducing new ideas to enhance the employee learning experience.
