About the Internship


We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic Kitchen Department Intern to join the culinary team of one of our partner restaurants in Belgium. This full-time internship offers an excellent opportunity to gain practical experience in a professional kitchen while working alongside experienced chefs in an international hospitality environment.

Key Responsibilities

Assist with daily food preparation, ingredient preparation, and mise en place.

Support chefs during lunch and dinner service while ensuring company quality standards are maintained.

Prepare basic dishes, sauces, garnishes, and desserts under the supervision of the kitchen team.

Assist with plating and presentation of dishes.

Maintain a clean, organised, and efficient workstation throughout each shift.

Follow HACCP procedures, food safety regulations, and hygiene standards at all times.

Receive, store, and organise food products while applying the FIFO stock rotation principle.

Assist with stock control and monitor the freshness and quality of ingredients.

Collaborate effectively with the kitchen team to ensure smooth daily operations.

Develop professional culinary techniques and gain practical experience in a fast-paced restaurant environment.


Candidate Profile

Currently studying Culinary Arts, Gastronomy, Hospitality Management, or a related field.

Good command of English (required).

Passion for cooking and willingness to learn.

Strong teamwork and communication skills.

Ability to work efficiently in a dynamic environment.

Basic knowledge of food hygiene and HACCP is an advantage but not required.


Internship Details

Position: Kitchen Department Intern

Location: Belgium (one of our partner restaurants)

Programme: Erasmus+ Internship

Duration: Minimum 3 months, maximum 12 months

Working Schedule: Full-time

Accommodation: Provided free of charge

Meals: Two meals per working day provided free of charge

Financial Compensation: 450 euro per month.


Students who are eligible for the Erasmus+ programme may receive an Erasmus+ grant from their sending university. We are happy to assist eligible candidates with the Erasmus+ documentation and mobility process.
