Are you a pastry wizard with a passion for savoury culinary? The Yurt at Potton Hall is seeking individuals like you to collaborate with our highly skilled Head Chef in delivering a sustainable farm-to-table dining experience, while delighting our guests with innovative cuisine.
About Us: Situated amidst the picturesque Potton Hall Grounds, The Yurt Restaurant offers breathtaking landscaped gardens and a thriving holistic vegetable garden, which serves as the heart of our kitchen year-round. Potton Hall also features a Boutique B&B, a serene Beauty Spa, and serves as a host for memorable Weddings and Events.
Responsibilities Include:
Collaborate with the Head Chef and assist in various cooking activities as needed.
Create and prepare all pastry items required by the business, including events.
Prepare, clean, and organize ingredients for kitchen use.
Develop recipe ideas from scratch.
Curate dessert and pastry menu to complement savoury offerings.
Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in the kitchen.
Stay updated on pastry arts and ingredients.
Perform administrative duties to ensure an efficient workspace.
Qualifications for Pastry Chef:
Proven experience working as a pastry chef in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
Ability to accurately follow recipes and instructions.
Strong knowledge of pastry arts and ingredients.
Proficient culinary techniques and skills.
Effective planning and preparation for daily tasks.
Meticulous in handling orders and inventory.
Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
Punctual and disciplined to maintain optimal work performance.
Physically capable of standing for long hours in a hot kitchen environment.
Ability to handle outside catering events is essential.
