About the job

The Chef de Partie will be responsible for managing a specific section of the kitchen and ensuring that all dishes from that station are prepared correctly and on time. Here are the main expectations for this role:


  • Manage a specific station (e.g., grill, sauce, pastry, fish, or vegetable section).
  • Prepare and cook dishes according to the restaurant’s recipes and standards.
  • Ensure food quality and consistency for every plate leaving the station.
  • Coordinate with other kitchen sections so that all components of a dish are ready together.
  • Prepare mise en place (ingredients, sauces, and prep work) before service.
  • Maintain cleanliness and food safety standards in the station.
  • Monitor stock levels and inform supervisors when ingredients run low.
  • Follow kitchen hygiene and health regulations.
