About the Role:

Reporting to the Director of Culinary, you will have a pivotal leadership role in the Rosewood Kauri Cliffs Culinary team. This is a hands-on position.  Responsibilities include - 

  • Having creative input with menu development and dish presentation
  • Ensuring adequacy of supplies at cooking stations
  • Training, developing and supporting kitchen staff
  • Putting effort in optimising the cooking process with attention to speed and quality
  • Ensure exceptional hygiene practices are maintained. 
  • Monitor and control food costs
  • Supporting the Director of Culinary with general administration task


 About You:

The successful candidate will be flexible, have a can do attitude, work well in a high pressure environment and want to push their career further. In addition, you will have - 

  • Proven experience senior level experience, ideally with previous experience at a similar standard establishment
  • Excellent use of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment and processes
  • The ability to think on your feet  as we have many guest requests and menu changes each day
  • Good time management, excellent communication skills and the ability to multitask
  • Be a team player
  • A hands on Chef who wants to be involved with the daily operation and delivery of memorable experience
