About the job
As a hotel manager, you are responsible for the entire hotel operation on board and guarantee guest satisfaction and a pleasant working environment for our crew. With your organisational skills, you take care of the day-to-day management of staff, creating their schedules, setting an example for the crew and provide training and coaching to reach Scylla standards. Your monthly financial forecasts for F&B and hotel supplies are on target and accurate. Based on the wishes of our tour operators, you ensure a smooth operation of all cruises on board of your vessel and make sure to exceed our guests’ expectations.

About you
- Several years of management experience within hospitality with outstanding and proven management skills and hands-on experience
- Preferably a degree in hospitality management and/or previous (river) cruise experience
- Strong knowledge in all hotel operations, including F&B, housekeeping and reception
- The happiness of our guests is your main priority in compliance with our Scylla standards
- The well-being of the crew on your ship is important to you: you are an empathic person, with great listening and coaching skills.
- You stimulate teamwork within the various teams and between the different departments
- You are open minded and flexible and have a hands-on mentality
- You are resistant to stress and resilient
- You are able to train crew members in each area of hotel operations
- Excellent cross-cultural communication
- Excellent English skills (written & verbal), German knowledge is a big advantage
- Good computer skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
- Language required: English.
