Chalet Couple: Chef & Chalet Manager/Host

Are you a couple looking for a unique opportunity to live and work together in the French Alps? Do you share a love of hospitality, the mountains, and great food?

We’re currently recruiting chalet couples to run our catered chalets for the 2025/26 ski season. This is a fantastic opportunity for a Chef + Chalet Manager/Host duo to combine their skills and passion for service in a beautiful Alpine setting.

Please note: due to accommodation arrangements, we can only accept joint applications from couples or established pairs applying together.

Role 1: Chalet Chef

As Chalet Chef, you’ll be responsible for creating a memorable dining experience for our guests, combining beautiful food, professional execution, and warm, personal service.

Main Responsibilities:

• Cook and serve breakfast, afternoon tea, and a 3-course evening meal (plus canapès and a cheeseboard).

• Prepare meals in line with our set menu and accommodate dietary requirements as per our dietary menu.

• Maintain hygiene, kitchen cleanliness, and food safety standards.

• Manage stock, shopping, budgets, and weekly reporting.

Role 2: Chalet Manager / Host

As Chalet Manager/Host, your focus will be on hospitality, cleanliness, and ensuring the smooth daily running of the chalet to deliver a 6/5 guest experience.

Main Responsibilities:

• Welcome guests and deliver a warm, professional in-resort experience.

• Manage daily housekeeping, guest requests, and changeover deep cleans.

• Serve meals and drinks, handle guest lifts to/from the slopes, and assist with food service.

• Ensure high presentation standards throughout the chalet.

• Maintain records, complete paperwork, and help generate great reviews and returning guests.

Shared Responsibilities as a Couple

Together, you will run the chalet as a team, with full support from Skiology. You’ll need to work closely, communicate clearly, and share the same commitment to guest care, consistency, and cleanliness.

Hours & Working Pattern

• Based in Morzine, France.

• 5 per week with variable hours and busy transfer days.

• 2 full days off per week.

Requirements (Both Roles)

• Aged 23+ with a full clean driving licence (essential for insurance).

• Previous hospitality/chalet experience.

• Friendly, proactive, and solutions-focused.

• Fluent in English; basic French a bonus.

• Enthusiasm for mountain life!
