The Gritti Palace, a Luxury Collection Hotel belonging to Marriott International, is currently recruiting for a Bar Hoste/Hostess.
The Bar Hoste/Hostess will report to the Bar Manager and she/he will be part of a F&B department.
This is a seasonal full time role (5 working days, 2 days off - H 12:30 - 21:00)
Period: May- October/November 2026

What you’ll do
- Ensure guests are welcomed in a warm and professional manner and supervise the entrance of the restaurant
- Manage the reservations by phone, by email and face to face, recording guests’ preferences
- Answer, record, and process all guest calls, messages, requests, questions, or concerns
- Possess comprehensive knowledge of the menu content.
- Maintain a thorough understanding of all standards
- Liaising with Event and the restaurant team for special events and occasions
- Liaising with other departments (F&B, Sales and Front Office) for VIP guests and special celebrations
- Supply guests with directions and information regarding the restaurant and the hotel
- Provides support regarding any reasonable task requested by the Management
What we’re looking for
- Fluent English and Italian are required
- Understanding of luxury hospitality F&B operations
- Experience in the same role in fine dining restaurants would be an advantage
- A warm, people-oriented demeanor
- A team-player attitude
- Positive outlook and dependability
- Excellent personal presentation and interpersonal skills.
