Job Description:

We are seeking a talented and passionate Sous Chef to join our dynamic kitchen team. The ideal candidate will have a strong culinary background, exceptional leadership skills, and a commitment to delivering high-quality dishes. As a Sous Chef, you will work closely with the Head Chef to oversee daily kitchen operations, maintain food quality standards, and ensure a smooth service.

Responsibilities:

1. Collaborate with the Head Chef to create and execute innovative menus that showcase seasonal ingredients and meet customer expectations.
2. Supervise and coordinate kitchen staff, including line cooks, prep cooks, and dishwashers, to ensure efficient workflow and adherence to recipes and food safety standards.
3. Train, mentor, and motivate team members to maintain a positive work environment and foster professional growth.
4. Assist in inventory management, ordering supplies, and controlling food costs to meet budgetary goals.
5. Monitor food quality and consistency throughout the cooking process and make necessary adjustments as needed.
6. Ensure compliance with sanitation and hygiene regulations to maintain a clean and safe kitchen environment.
7. Participate in menu planning, recipe development, and special event preparation as required.

About you

Proven experience as a Sous Chef or senior line cook in a high-volume restaurant or culinary establishment.
Culinary degree or equivalent certification preferred.
Strong leadership and communication skills with the ability to effectively manage a diverse team.
Extensive knowledge of culinary techniques, ingredients, and kitchen equipment.
Ability to multitask, prioritize tasks, and work efficiently under pressure.
Attention to detail and a passion for delivering exceptional food quality and presentation.
Flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as required.
