As a Cook / Pizza Chef at The Ritz-Carlton Abama, you will be part of a professional team committed to excellence and to maintaining the highest standards of quality established by The Ritz-Carlton.

You will play an essential role in the preparation and execution of our culinary offering, ensuring that every dish is prepared with precision, care, and in accordance with our standards.

We are looking for someone who is passionate about cooking, responsible, organized, and professional. Someone with a strong respect for the product, excellent attention to detail, a team-oriented mindset, and the ability to perform effectively in a dynamic and demanding environment.

• Prepare and organize the mise en place required to ensure an efficient service.
• Prepare, cook, and present assigned dishes and preparations according to established recipes, technical specifications, and quality standards.
• Prepare doughs, sauces, ingredients, and other preparations required for pizza service.
• Prepare pizzas according to established processes, techniques, cooking times, and temperatures.
• Control the preparation, fermentation, storage, and handling of pizza dough.
• Ensure the correct cooking and consistent presentation of pizzas.
• Prepare all ingredients and products required for each service, ensuring their availability and proper storage.
• Follow recipes, portioning, technical specifications, and established procedures accurately.
• Monitor the quality, freshness, and condition of all ingredients before and during service.
• Use kitchen equipment, machinery, and utensils correctly and safely.
• Keep the assigned station clean, organized, and properly maintained throughout the service.
• Strictly comply with food hygiene, food safety, and health and safety regulations.
• Monitor and record food storage and cooking temperatures when required.
• Ensure the correct storage, labeling, and rotation of products.
• Minimize waste and use raw materials responsibly and efficiently.
• Report any issues relating to products, preparations, equipment, or facilities to the Kitchen Manager or relevant supervisor.
• Work closely with the rest of the kitchen team to ensure a smooth and efficient service.
• Support other kitchen sections when required by operational needs.
• Adapt to the different culinary concepts and gastronomic venues within the resort.
• Assist with the preparation and organization of special services and events when required.
• Actively contribute to maintaining the quality and excellence standards of The Ritz-Carlton.
• Contribute through your work to creating memorable culinary experiences for our guests and customers.

• Culinary or Gastronomy education, or equivalent professional experience.
• Previous experience as a Cook, Pizza Chef, or in a similar position.
• Previous experience in luxury hotels, resorts, quality restaurants, or high-end hospitality establishments will be highly valued.
• Experience and knowledge in pizza preparation and dough handling.
• Knowledge of culinary techniques, mise en place, and kitchen station organization.
• Respect for and sensitivity towards high-quality products and ingredients.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Ability to work in an organized, efficient, and precise manner during busy services.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team and communicate clearly with colleagues and supervisors.
• A proactive, responsible, and solution-oriented attitude.
• Ability to remain calm and maintain performance under pressure.
• Flexibility and adaptability to different situations and operational requirements.
• Availability to work different shifts, including weekends and public holidays.
• Knowledge of and compliance with food hygiene and food safety standards.
• Knowledge of English and other languages will be considered an advantage.
• Valid work permit for Spain.
