The Role
The Cluster Director of Sales will lead the sales strategy for the properties under responsibility, balancing revenue growth through account management, account development, strategic partnership management and long-term market positioning.
The role requires a dynamic leader with strong emotional intelligence, able to manage senior stakeholder expectations while inspiring and developing high-performing teams. The Cluster Director of Sales will act as a key business partner to Revenue Management, Marketing and Operations, developing and executing cohesive commercial strategies that drive performance, optimize profitability and strengthen client relationships across both properties.
The main duties and responsibilities will be:
Define and execute sales strategies to drive the commercial success of both properties through key account management and account development.
Contribute to long-term business planning, budgeting and forecasting, including the preparation and definition of annual Sales & Marketing plans for the properties under responsibility.
Build strong partnerships with Revenue Management, Marketing and Operations to align strategies and achieve commercial objectives.
Partner closely with Revenue Management to optimize pricing, segmentation and channel mix for sustained growth.
Ensure visibility and awareness across all key markets, working closely with Global Sales Office teams to develop relationships and maximize opportunities.
Use data-driven insights and market intelligence to anticipate market shifts, identify opportunities and mitigate risks.
Lead and develop the Sales team, driving performance against agreed targets and fostering collaboration across functions.
Work closely with Groups & Events Sales teams to drive business development, increase enquiry volumes and conversion, and achieve Groups & Events targets.
Represent the properties at key domestic and international trade shows, workshops, roadshows and sales activities.
What are we looking for?
Proven experience in a senior Sales leadership role within luxury hospitality.
Over five years of experience in the North American market, with in-depth knowledge of luxury consortia and established industry connections in the U.S.
Strong experience in key account management, account development and strategic sales planning.
Proven leadership and people management skills, with the ability to inspire and develop high-performing teams.
Strong commercial acumen, analytical capabilities and market awareness.
Fluent in English and Italian.
Willingness to travel domestically and internationally as required.
