We are looking for an enthusiastic candidate who will join the Event Sales department.
EVENT SALES AGENT
Perform general office duties to support Sales & Marketing – Event Sales & Operations (e.g., filing, sending emails, typing, faxing, copying) and prepare sales-related documents throughout the sales process, promoting awareness of brand image internally and externally.
In detail:
1) Process management from the group/event request receipt until the execution of the contract and receipt if initial deposit:
- Control of availability of rooms and meetings spaces, - - Bid proposal and reservation management, timely Clients follow up - Effective Negotiation skill using sales techniques that maximize revenue while maintaining existing guest loyalty to Marriott, - Site Inspection, - Contract preparation and execution, - Deposits schedule
2) Data Management
- Accurately insert all Groups/Events Opportunities in Opera S&C and keep the business blocks updated in real time; produce requested reports upon request; ensure Opera system is kept clean and efficient; manage RFPs received via group enquiries websites such as Starcite, Cvent, MI Leads, HPN (and similar) and update these systems in a timely manner according to Company policy
3) Customer care and Consulting service
- answer guest questions about property facilities/services (e.g., hours of operation, rates and room types, packages, promotions, entertainment, restaurants, special events); serve as the point of contact for clients and communicate with them by phone and email to respond to questions and requests; welcome and acknowledge all guests according to company standards; anticipate and address guests' service needs; thank guests with genuine appreciation.
4) Follow all company policies and procedures
5) Comply with quality assurance expectations and standards
6) Ensure uniform and personal appearance are clean and professional
7) Maintain confidentiality of proprietary information; protect company assets.
8) Speak with others using clear and professional language; prepare and review written documents accurately and completely; answer telephones using appropriate etiquette
9) Develop and maintain positive working relationships with others; support Active Sales team, Event Sales Team and Event Operations Team to reach common goals; listen and respond appropriately to the concerns of other employees.
