3x Independent working Cooks

We are Wok Restaurant Royal Palace and we are looking for three passionate Independently Working Cooks I to strengthen our kitchen team.

Are you a cook and at your best in the kitchen? As a cook, you feel responsible for the preparation and presentation of dishes and dish components. You work under the supervision of our head chef or owner, but you are also able to keep the kitchen running independently. You also work together with your fellow cook and, where necessary, supervise kitchen assistants. You work according to fixed instructions regarding ingredients, recipes, working methods and presentation standards. You work at weekends and are available during the day and in the evening. Working hours and the schedule are flexible.

Your duties include:

• Selecting, preparing washing, cutting, mixing, etc. and cooking dishes according to recipes;
• Carrying out interim checks doneness, taste, colour, etc. and making adjustments where necessary;
• Ensuring consistent quality and hygiene;
• Coordinating and supervising assistant cooks and kitchen staff;
• Keeping track of stock, ordering ingredients and checking deliveries;
• Daily cleaning of the working environment, kitchen equipment and workstations;
• Reporting technical defects and resolving simple malfunctions;
• Providing input regarding the composition and modification of menus, the menu card and working methods.

Job Requirements

• You take initiative independently and act in a solution-oriented manner.
• You work with conviction and are willing to take responsibility.
• MBO level 3 working and thinking level (or equivalent)
• Demonstrable knowledge of basic cooking techniques
