Executive Chef / Head Chef (m/f/d)

Unique opportunity to create and lead the culinary concept of a major new leisure and hospitality destination in Switzerland.
For a newly developed, high-profile food, beverage, sports, and entertainment venue in the Bern region, we are seeking an experienced and entrepreneurial Executive Chef / Head Chef to lead the culinary operation from pre-opening through launch and future growth.
This is a rare opportunity to shape a destination concept from the ground up, combining restaurant operations, events, family experiences, and seasonal programming within a dynamic and innovative environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement the overall culinary vision and menu strategy.
- Build and lead a high-performing kitchen team.
- Create seasonal and scalable food concepts for restaurant, terrace, events, and take-away operations.
- Ensure excellent food quality, consistency, hygiene, and guest satisfaction.
- Manage food cost, purchasing, inventory, and supplier relationships.
- Support the development of private events, corporate functions, and community activities.
- Drive operational excellence and profitability.
Candidate Profile
- Proven experience as Executive Chef, Head Chef, Sous Chef, or Culinary Director.
- Strong background in high-volume hospitality environments.
- Experience with Mediterranean, international, modern casual dining, or lifestyle concepts.
- Excellent leadership and team-building skills.
- Strong business and cost-management mindset.
- Passion for innovation, hospitality, and guest experience.
- German and/or English required.

About you
- Age 35–50
- Proven opening experience
- Event catering background
- Experience managing CHF 2–5 million F&B revenue
- Languages required: German and English. French is a plus
