We are thrilled to announce the launch of our pop-up restaurant, BRENSO, from May 3rd to September 30th, 2023, at the former restaurant Metzg (Zurich, Kreis4). BRENSO is a space for the community, made by the people, for the people. The name BRENSO comes from the slang of the city where I grew up, Bologna, and it means brief, intense, straightforward, cool, and smart. Our cooking approach wants to take into equal consideration the aspect of taste, beauty, and health. We want to build a food concept with a Zero-Waste mindset. We consciously source local meat “nose-to-tail”. We love to ferment and pickle “root-to-leaf” vegetables and fruits. We are passionate about naturally produced wine and fizzy alcohol-free fresh drinks. We want to stay hungry, keep learning and serve pure, honest, tasty food and a good mood!
BRENSO is born out of the passion to gather people around a table to share emotions and also from the need to go back to less structured everyday eatery solutions,for all kinds of people. The neighborhood of K4, the passionate dine-lovers community of Zurich and the fans of sausage/ex-Metzg philosophy. A quick, fresh, tasty lunch option will always be available, as well as an afternoon snack with a friend or an ice-cream sandwich with your kid. But also a place for a different dining experience where local sourced food it’s presented through a mediterranean style of cooking and service, in a homie and vibrating ambience and environment.
We want to serve food with a soul and without filters, because well done-simple food breaks boundaries and can make everyone equal and happy.
