We run a restaurant with “soul” that is simple and different and located in the centre of Barcelona.
We produce market cuisine using only seasonal ingredients, but always with a very special “Brit” touch brought by our chef. The lunchtime menu varies daily and is mainly based on healthy COMBI’s of vegetables, protein and pasta or legumes of very high quality. We also offer toasts, burgers and eggs that have been defined as the “Best eggs Benedict I’ve had in years!”. Our secret is that everything we offer is 100% artisan, so you won’t be able to resist the delicious cakes and desserts at La Esquina. We like to think that we have managed to create a comfortable and refined atmosphere thanks to the decoration, warm lighting and selection of English indie-folk music at La Esquina.
And if it’s about breaking rules, now that everywhere you look you find coloured coffee capsules, at La Esquina the coffee is just that – authentic coffee. Finally, it’s something that tastes right, something that tastes like a good coffee. What counts for our baristas, is its provenance, and it turns out that this week’s coffee might be brought in from La Aurora, Nicaragua and they’ll prepare it for you following a careful and well-measured ritual in their brand-new coffee machine, the Marzocco.
