Gessamì Carammés Kitchen Trainee, Lasarte Restaurant

Gessami is a 25-year old trainee at Lasarte. She had always enjoyed cooking, however, she never seriously thought about taking it up as a career. It was at the later stages of her audiovisual communication studies when she made decided to pursue her true passion. Gessami then focused all of her attention on studying and improving her skills. After finishing her studies, she made the most of every opportunity she could which included working in restaurants in France.

She joined Lasarte as a kitchen assistant before moving into the bakery section of the restaurant. She chose Lasarte specifically as it’s “one of the most prestigious restaurants in Barcelona.” Gessami also recognizes that Lasarte is an amazing place to learn and grow as a professional because of the hard work and attention to detail that is put into creating each plate of food.
