Course overview

This course aims to form technicians to be able to carry out activities related to Ecology/Biology, in an autonomous manner or within a team.

What you will learn

a) Plan, manage and guide tourists through tours; b) Plan and elaborate tourist animation activities in nature, contributing to the maintenance and improvement of the image of Portugal as a tourist destination, especially of Madeira Archipelago.

Who is the course for?

Working as a guide in Parks and Natural Reserves, as well as in Tourist Animation Companies and in Town Halls, planning and carrying out guided tours to tourists interested in Nature, providing them with quality information about the natural environment, terrestrial and aquatic ecosystems, as well as human population and architectural heritage; Following and guiding groups of people in sports events and adventures in nature; planning and promoting health and environmental well-being events; Participating and assisting in projects and in nature monitoring programs; Creating and participating in inventory work, census and plant and animal distribution; Working and collaborating in research projects within nature, related to both geological and biological resources.
