About the job

We are looking for a professional Sous Chef/fe to be the second in command in our kitchen. The successful candidate will employ its culinary and managerial skills in order to play a critical role in maintaining and enhancing our customers’ satisfaction.

Responsabilities:
Help in the preparation of all food menu
Produce high quality plates both design and taste wise
Ensure that the kitchen operates in a timely way that meets our quality standards
Fill in for the Head Chef in planning and directing food preparation when necessary
Resourcefully solve any issues that arise and seize control of any problematic situation
Manage and train kitchen staff, establish working schedule and assess staff’s performance
Order supplies to stock inventory appropriately
Comply with and enforce sanitation regulations and safety standards
Maintain a positive and professional approach with coworkers and customers
  • Accommodation is provided. Team is divided into 3 nice houses that are close to the restaurant.

About you

Requirements and skills:

Extra positive vibe & attitude, curious and eager to learn are the most important
Experience in high quality food preparation
Understanding of various cooking methods, interested in mexican cuisine
Excellent record of kitchen and staff management
Accuracy and speed in handling emergency situations and providing solutions
Familiar with industry’s best practices
Familiar with Josper - grilling/fire cooking is a plus
Working knowledge of necessary computer software programs
BS degree in Culinary science or related certificate would be a plus
  • Language required: English.

We are Casa Fistiki, your new restaurant, bar, bodega & wineshop right by the sea in Agios Georgios, Antiparos. We serve delicious food and amazing drinks from sunrise to sunset in a friendly and refined atmosphere.

Fruit of a common passion for food, sun, wine, sea, fire-cooking, mezcal, hosting friends, music & travels - we came up with a joke of opening a chiringuito on the beach. The joke didn’t last long before the spot hunting began.

Following a gut feeling, a few months later, we ended up finding a perfect spot on a Greek Island to realize a fantasy - blending the best of two worlds - the mediterranean with the mexican dream.
