Job Brief
The Debtors Clerk has the main responsibility to maintain the Accounts Standards as defined by Company and the hotel Accounts policy assist in ensuring that all accounts receivable are posted and collected.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Ensure that the direct billings as received from Front Office is correct and transfer them to appropriate accounts
- Debt collection of all due debtors as per SOPs
- Compiling and sending of month end reports to relevant parties
- Sending of invoices and statements to debtors
- Delivering of invoices to debtors as required
- Allocation/reconciliation of credit card transactions
- Allocating payments on the system as received
- General accounting and admin duties
- To maintain and monitor storage of all financial records in accordance with the law
- To assist with monthly stock takes
- Performing daily banking and checks
- To report on any variances to relevant departments and assist with resolving all banking queries
- Assist with month end duties as may be required
Candidate Requirements:
- Certificate/ Diploma in Accounting/ Finance Management or equivalent
- Recent work experience in a similar position
- Computer literacy (Opera, and Excel)
- Must be GUEST service driven
- Positive attitude
- Must be able to work accurately under pressure
- Must be self-disciplined and motivated
- Must be a TEAM player
- Excellent communication skills, in writing and verbally.
