On the sophisticated Athens Riviera, at the tip of a pine-clad peninsula, Four Seasons offers the best of both worlds: a laid-back seaside escape just 30 minutes from the historical city centre. Discover the wonders of ancient civilization at the Acropolis, then return to Four Seasons to unwind and relax. Four Seasons Astir Palace Hotel Athens opened in March 2019 and provides a preferred address for both business and leisure travelers, and the highly personalized, anticipatory service that Four Seasons guests expect and value around the world. The Arion Hotel was built in 1967 and has 106 keys and 61 Bungalows, and the Nafsika opened in 1980 and has 136 keys. Under the same ownership is a large private beach club and marina. Nafsika is open through the year, while Arion and the bungalows operate eight months of the year. Adding to the complement of on-site F&B operations (8 Restaurants and Bars), there are also two third party restaurants on site.

We are looking for Pastry Junior Sous Chef to join our Seasonal team!

What you will do

  • Lead and mentor a dedicated pastry team, ensuring that each member is motivated, trained, and working efficiently.
  • Schedule shifts and oversee the daily operations of the pastry kitchen to guarantee smooth and effective production.
  • Work closely with the Executive Chef and Pastry Chef to develop new pastry concepts, recipes, and maintain consistently high culinary standards.
  • Maintain strict quality control: Ensure taste, texture, presentation, and temperature of all pastry items meet Four Seasons' exacting standards.
  • Manage inventory and requisition necessary supplies to ensure continuous production of high-quality pastries.
  • Oversee production of all pastries and desserts, ensuring they align with Michelin-level standards.

What you bring

  • Previous  experience in a Michelin-starred or fine-dining pastry kitchen is required
  • Proven ability to create high-quality pastries and desserts to Michelin-level standards.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills to manage a dynamic pastry team.
  • Creativity and attention to detail with a passion for pastry arts.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-pressure kitchen environment.
  • Commitment to continuous learning and improvement in the pastry arts.

Permanent full-time job - 5 working days per week, with 2 days off.

The hotel offers 303 accommodations, including 200 guest rooms and 42 suites in two main buildings (Arion and Nafsika), plus 61 bungalows set among the trees on the water’s edge. The hotel also features a Spa inspired by the ancient teachings of Hippocrates with 10 treatment rooms including two couples' suites, fitness and recreation facilities and eight dynamic restaurants, lounges and bars – from "Pelagos" a modern Mediterranean seafood restaurant and "Mercato" an all-day Italian trattoria to "Taverna 37" a beach side Greek taverna.
