LALA, a modern, hospitality-focused restaurant in Hong Kong, is seeking an experienced Head Sommelier to lead our wine program. You’ll curate an evolving wine list, manage cellar operations, train and mentor service staff, and deliver exceptional wine experiences that elevate our ALC and seasonal menu.


Ideal candidates have 3+ years sommelier experience in fine dining, WSET or CMS certification, strong relationship skills, and excellent guest-facing communication skills.   • French wine expertise: Strong knowledge of Bordeaux, Burgundy, Champagne, and Rhône regions.
  • Tableside service: Confident in decanting, flawless pouring, and matching wine with French food.
  • Cellar basics: Experience tracking inventory, organizing stock, and maintaining correct storage temperatures.
  • Cultural eagerness: Ready to learn Hong Kong wine trends and adapt to high-end Asian hospitality.
  • English fluency: Excellent English communication skills; any French language skill is a huge plus.
  • Pronunciation skills: Correct pronunciation of French châteaux, grape varieties, and wine regions.
  • Adaptability: Quick learner, open to fast-paced shifts, and eager to train floor staff.



  • Language required: English. Chinese, French, and Cantonese are a plus
