The Lux Collective is looking for a dynamic and well-connected Cluster Sales & Marketing Manager to be the face of our two exceptional properties in Rwanda: 

  • LUX* Lake Kivu
  • SALT of Akagera

We are searching for a passionate local sales & marketing leader who understands Rwanda’s tourism landscape, culture, market, and people; someone who can proudly be the face and voice of both brands in Rwanda and beyond.

The Cluster Sales & Marketing Manager will lead and drive all Sales, Marketing and Communication strategies for both properties, building brand visibility locally, across Africa, and internationally.

From developing commercial strategies to building strong industry relationships, this role is all about creating impact, driving growth, and elevating Rwanda as a luxury travel destination.

The successful candidate will be responsible for: 

  • Lead innovative Sales & Marketing strategies aligned with business goals
  • Grow market share and increase revenue opportunities
  • Represent the brands at industry events, client meetings, and networking opportunities
  • Build strong relationships with key stakeholders, partners, and clients
  • Drive local and international brand awareness
  • Analyse market trends and identify growth opportunities
  • Manage key accounts, partnerships, and negotiations
  • Collaborate closely with the regional and international teams

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Degree in Sales & Marketing or equivalent qualifications
  • Postgraduate qualification in Sales, Marketing and/or Business Administration is an advantage

PREVIOUS PERFORMANCE

  • Minimum 10 years of working experience in hospitality Sales & Marketing at a managerial level.
  • Strong experience with luxury international brands will be a definite advantage.
  • Deeply knowledgeable about Rwanda’s tourism and domestic market.

  • Deeply connected to Rwanda’s tourism, lifestyle, and local market scene.
  • Commercially minded with a strong understanding of business growth and brand impact.
  • Confident in building partnerships, negotiating deals, and driving results.
  • Skilled at creating marketing campaigns, brand visibility, and PR opportunities that stand out.
  • Organised, analytical, and able to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
  • Comfortable working independently while collaborating with diverse international teams.
  • Confident in creating impactful presentations and business proposals
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office tools, especially PowerPoint, Excel, and Word.
  • Comfortable using digital tools, social media, CRM platforms, and emerging AI technologies to drive productivity, creativity, and marketing performance.
  • Able to leverage AI-powered tools for content creation, market research, reporting, campaign optimisation, and customer engagement.
  • Digitally savvy with a strong understanding of modern marketing trends and data-driven decision-making.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and Kinyarwanda are essential. Knowledge of French and/or Swahili would be an advantage.
  • Flexible and adaptable to the dynamic nature of the hospitality industry, including weekends and public holidays.
  • A positive ambassador who represents the values and energy of the brands authentically.
  • A clean certificate of character is a must.
