Training 4 Hospitality is offering 6-month hospitality internships across France with hotels, restaurants and culinary establishments.

⚠️ IMPORTANT ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENT

This is a student internship programme, not a graduate employment programme.

To be eligible, you must be currently enrolled in an eligible undergraduate, post-secondary, vocational or other qualifying educational programme, and the internship must form part of your current education curriculum.

You must be able to provide confirmation from your college, university or educational institution that the internship forms part of your programme.

If you have already graduated and are no longer enrolled in an eligible educational programme, this programme is not suitable for you.

Your Host Environment

Placements can range from hotels and restaurants to specialist culinary and hospitality establishments across France. You will join a professional hospitality team in France and gain practical experience in a real working environment. Depending on your department and placement, you may work alongside experienced chefs, food and beverage professionals, housekeeping teams, bakery or pastry professionals.

Host establishments can include hotels, restaurants and specialist culinary and hospitality venues in different regions of France. Some placements may be located in rural or countryside areas, so flexibility regarding location is important.

You will become part of the day-to-day operation of your host establishment while developing practical skills relevant to your studies and future hospitality career.

What will you do during your internship?

Your day-to-day responsibilities will depend on your department and host establishment, but you can expect to work alongside experienced hospitality professionals and take part in the daily operation of the business.

Culinary / Kitchen

  • Assisting with daily food preparation and mise en place
  • Supporting the kitchen team during breakfast, lunch or dinner service
  • Preparing ingredients and assisting with dishes according to your level of training
  • Maintaining high standards of hygiene, cleanliness and food safety
  • Learning professional kitchen organisation and French culinary practices

Food & Beverage Service

  • Preparing restaurant and dining areas for service
  • Welcoming and assisting guests
  • Taking and serving food and beverage orders
  • Supporting breakfast, lunch and dinner service
  • Maintaining professional service and hospitality standards
  • Learning about French food and hospitality practices

Housekeeping

  • Assisting with the preparation and cleaning of guest rooms and public areas
  • Maintaining cleanliness and presentation standards
  • Preparing rooms according to host establishment procedures
  • Supporting the housekeeping team during daily operations
  • Learning professional hotel housekeeping standards

Bakery / Pastry

  • Assisting with the daily preparation of breads, pastries and desserts
  • Preparing ingredients and supporting the production process
  • Learning professional bakery and pastry techniques
  • Maintaining high standards of hygiene and organisation
  • Supporting the team during daily production

Your responsibilities will be appropriate to your level of education and experience, with the aim of helping you develop practical professional skills throughout your internship.

About you

General requirements

We are looking for enthusiastic hospitality and culinary students who want to gain valuable professional experience in the French hospitality and culinary industry.

Applicants must:

  • Be currently enrolled in a recognized Hospitality or Culinary programme.
  • Complete the internship as a compulsory part of their academic studies.
  • Be able to obtain an official letter from their college or university confirming that the internship is required for their course.
  • Demonstrate good spoken English.
  • Have a genuine interest in hospitality and international cultural exchange.
  • Have a strong desire to embrace French culture, cuisine and hospitality. This is a major plus.
  • Be able to demonstrate that they or their guarantor have a minimum income of €650 per month for the previous three months.
  • Be willing to live in rural or countryside locations during the internship

  • Language required: English. French is a plus
