Cape Town Hotel School - Cape Peninsula University of Technology (CPUT)

The Cape Town Hotel School (Faculty of Management and Business Science) of the Cape Peninsula University of Technology was established in 1991 and is one of the finest Hospitality Management Training establishments in Southern Africa.

The school's campus overlooks the Atlantic Ocean in the stunning setting of Granger Bay, Beach Road, Mouille Point, Cape Town.

The school's on-site restaurant provides a complete service 365 days a year to the general public and is also a choice venue for elegant occasions and conference events. The restaurant is operated by the students themselves, with the guidance of instructors, providing them with the essential training needed to pursue their career in the growing hospitality industry of South Africa.

The Cape Town Hotel School offers three different qualifications:- Diploma in Hospitality and Hotel Management
Diploma in Hospitality and Food & Beverage Management
Diploma in Hospitality and Professional Cookery
The Diploma qualification is done over three years full time and includes theory, practical and work in the on-site restaurant as well as two external industry placement modules ranging between 4 to 6 months each.

Students that have completed the Diploma can apply for a further year of study to complete the Advanced Diploma. The Advanced Diploma is offered in three specialization areas:
Advanced Diploma in Hospitality and Hotel Management
Advanced Diploma in Hospitality and Food & Beverage Management
Advanced Diploma in Hospitality and Professional Cookery

This can be be followed by a Post Graduate Diploma in Hospitality, Tourism and Events Management (2022) that will lead to the students applying for Masters and then Doctorate Programs in Business and Management Sciences (with specialization).
