Welcome to Hotel Management School Thun

The Hotel Management School Thun is a German speaking college of Professional Education with Training (PET). It is an institution of hotelleriesuisse (Swiss Hotel Association) recognized by the Swiss Federal Government and subsidized by political authorities. Offering a state of the art educational environment, Hotelfachschule Thun is the ideal place for students who wish to train for demanding positions in the hospitality industry. During the three-year training, semesters at school alternate with internships of practical work. Students graduate as «dipl. Hôtelière-Restauratrice HF» / «dipl. Hôtelier-Restaurateur HF» (Hotelier and Restaurant Manager, PET qualified). They are qualified for different levels of managerial positions in hospitality.

The Hotel Management School Thun is the only hotel management school in Switzerland also to offer its course as a part-time option (compatible with a 50 to 80% work commitment).

Since March 2021, the Hotel Management School Thun has been offering a new business model that is unique in the entire D-A-CH region. A new hotel has been opened on the campus. The Lab Hotel is a trendy hotel and restaurant, innovation platform and learning place for the students. The infrastructure includes 45 modern hotel rooms, 6 innovative Lab Rooms, 13 spacious serviced apartments,
6 trendy capsule rooms and 29 student rooms. In addition to the extensive range of accommodation, guests can enjoy a culinary offer in The Hub Bar and the Food Market with self-service restaurant. A wide range of rooms with a bright work space, a multifunctional cube lab, an auditorium, meeting and seminar rooms of various sizes round off the offer.
