Our goal is to help you understand these important dynamics of group communication and learn how to put them into practice to improve your overall teamwork.
The courses are taught entirely in English. Classes are small and encourage crosscultural dialogue and personal connections. And this is without the usual requirement for students to spend a year in the UK. VUM students follow a synchronized curriculum with Cardiff Metropolitan University and have to meet the same high standards in learning and examinations.
Students have the opportunity to choose the duration of the programme, namely:
- 3-year period of study (6 semesters) – students graduate with a Bulgarian Professional Bachelor’s degree in Hotel Management, issued by VUM and a British Degree BA(Hons) International Hospitality Management by Cardiff Metropolitan University, United Kingdom.
- 4-year period of study (8 semesters) – students graduate with a Bulgarian Bachelor’s degree in Hotel Management, issued by VUM and a British Degree BA(Hons) International Hospitality Management by Cardiff Metropolitan University, United Kingdom.
Every organization needs to plan how to communicate internally and externally in the event of a crisis. In this course, business communication expert Laura Bergells walks you through the process of preparing your organization to communicate with employees, customers, suppliers, media, and the public at large. She'll cover identifying audiences, assembling a crisis response team, crafting an initial statement, and evaluating your response once the crisis has passed.
In this course, you will see that brand activation is much more than clever communications or perfectly placed messages. You will begin developing your skills in brand activation by identifying and analyzing a brand target market and determining consumer insights that will prepare you to create an activation plan. You will then define the brand values, personality, and purpose, and craft a brand positioning statement for your selected brand. These elements help ensure the activation plan aligns with the brand. You will also write key elements of a communication brief to ensure that all messaging and communication pieces align with the brand and with each other. Finally, you will outline a marketing communications approach specific to your brand and your target market that will lend itself to successful brand activation.
Most people are afraid of speaking in public, but effective oral communication is a key skill in business. Jeff Ansell provides simple communication tools, strategies, and tips that are easy to use and produce immediate results. He'll help you sound more confident, use body and language to better express ideas, and overcome anxiety. In the last chapter of the course, all these concepts are brought together in two real-world coaching exercises that will help you see the techniques in action.
