The Royal Academy of Culinary Arts, a member of the EHL Network of Certified Schools, is a non-profit private Jordanian institution.

It was founded in 2008 to fulfill the vision of his Majesty King Abdullah II of having a culinary school in Jordan operating at the highest international standards, and to introduce the Swiss experience of merging practical and hands-on training with academic education.

The Royal Academy of Culinary Arts opened as a Campus of Les Roches Global Hospitality Education, as the first culinary school managed and operated by them in the world. Entering its second decade of being the leading culinary school in Jordan and the region, the Royal Academy of Culinary Arts (RACA) has entered into a partnership with Ecole Hôtelière de Lausanne, one of the oldest top Hospitality Management schools in the world.

Being one of the development projects of King Abdullah II Fund for Development (KAFD), RACA supports youth employability, women empowerment, supporting local tourism industry, and minimizing the need to import expertise in the hotel and restaurant fields which are in line with KAFD Key Performance Indicators.

Graduating more than 850 professional chefs, the Royal Academy of Culinary Arts located itself on the local and regional map as the market leader for culinary education through its commitment to quality, innovation and industry-relevant educational programs, coupled with the highest values of social integration.

In today’s fast-paced culinary world, chefs need to have the know-how and a broader set of hands -on skills that are based on scientific knowledge about food, temperatures, cooking methods, and new trends. To satisfy these requirements for stakeholders in the industry (fine dining restaurants and five star hotels), and future professional chefs, we offer a wide array of culinary programs for people with varying educational backgrounds and career aspirations.

All programs are delivered by RACA and are recognized by the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research in Jordan.

Our Two-year Diploma program in Culinary Arts prepares students to enter junior chef positions in five-star hotel with the hands- on craftsmanship, solid scientific knowledge, and business communication skills to start a career journey in the culinary and hospitality sectors.
