Akademi Kuliner and Patiseri Ottimmo International was founded as a gourmet school and training center dedicated to the development and dissemination of outstanding craft and art of food and beverage preparation in Indonesia. The school was granted by the PERITIA Foundation (*parts of the Italian Gastronomic Culture afficionados) to the built in Indonesia on October 2012 committed to offer high education in specialized food and beverage preparation. The year 2013 also marked the academy’s formal establishment of the Master Gourmet program. A new emphasis on general studies that relates much toward practical experience is also currently introduced into our European standard curriculum. In keeping with our proposed tradition of focusing on the best interest of student and responding to ever changing food and beverage industry, it was determined that students are offered to undertake 3 years education program through specialization or concentrations on the Culinary Arts and Gastronomy as well as the Baking pastry Arts and Science with the reward of Advance Diploma. Akademi Kuliner and Patiseri Ottimmo Internasional will grow in program offerings and physical facilities. While at the same time, the Academy has already gain recognition and prestige from the food and beverage society, government, and education professionals. In 2019 Ottimmo is an accredited. In March we got “B” in culinary arts program accreditation, and in May we had “B” in accreditation from Badan Akreditasi Nasional Perguruan Tinggi (BAN-PT).

SMK Tourism and Recreation study programme is more then a usual hospitality education. This one-year conversion programme provides an opportunity for students who have successfully completed an ordinary degree (level 7 – NFQ) or honours degree (level 8 – NFQ) in a different discipline to attain an honours degree (level 8 – NFQ) equivalent in a further single year of studies. The individual modules run in conjunction with existing modules on our degree programmes. The offering of the Higher Diploma in Hospitality Management programme further develops the learners’ key skills, their strategic ability and introduces learners to the hospitality management discipline. The three-month industry placement forms an integral part of this programme.

Tourism management focuses on the broad tourism industry and includes a professional internship, practical modules and academic subjects, while preparing students for leadership in this field. It combines academic knowledge with field trips, site visits, and practical work experience in the tourism industry. A key focus of the programme is on applied management and business subjects; for example, accounting, information technology, human resource management, marketing and communications. These are complemented by more tourism- and field-specific subjects, such as tourism studies, sustainable tourism, tourism policy and planning, tourism service operations, and heritage, culture and tourism. This one year programme provides an opportunity for students who have successfully completed the BA Ordinary degree in Tourism Management to attain an honours degree in a further single year of study. It runs in conjunction with the BSc (Honours) in Leisure Management and BSc (Honours) in Hospitality Management. Learning Outcomes: What will I Study? The offering of the BSc (Honours) in Tourism Management programme further develops the learners’ key skills, their strategic ability and their knowledge of the tourism management discipline. The BSc Programme provides a learning environment which builds upon the tourism management discipline at ordinary degree level and encourages a theoretical approach and a research ethos. It provides a programme of study that enhances relationships between industry, and the School as a centre of excellence, in the tourism management area. The programme encourages social, ethical and leadership competencies in this specified field. It is this combination of higher learning outcomes that warrants an Honours award. Through the modules offered students acquire and utilise the additional cognitive skills of evaluation and synthesis, which is applied to the area of tourism management.

The B.Sc. in Sports and Leisure Management takes a student-centred approach to learning. Students engage with the Sports, Leisure and associated sectors through innovative teaching and actively learning by doing. Real-life problem solving takes place through engagement with community and industry, and collaborative and reflective learning will include using case studies, guest lectures from experts in their field, and site visits to a range of Sports and Leisure facilities. The programme is a mix of business, sports and leisure theory and applied modules providing you when you graduate with a wide range of competencies and attributes that you will find valuable working within the Sports, Leisure and associated sectors. You will study topics such as Communication, Marketing, Intercultural Competence, Leadership in Health Activity and Nutrition, Entrepreneurship, Leisure Law, and Facilities Management. Graduates will build the attributes and competencies required to work in the field.Using options in Years 2 and 3, you can tailor your interests around the themes of community, leisure and wellness, tourism or management. A final-year dissertation will be chosen from themes of Community; Leisure and Well-being; Tourism; and Management. In Year 2, students have the option to study at a partner University in Europe, under the Erasmus programme. Students will undertake a 6-month professional work placement. This may be completed outside Ireland, also under the Erasmus programme. On graduation, you may continue to postgraduate study in TU Dublin or elsewhere. Graduates will have the opportunity to gain accreditation in areas such as personal training and pool lifeguard. Exit Level 7 award available for this programme
